It is generally possible to transfer an existing Pro account to another person – however, there are a few points to consider:
Account without an existing Free account
If the new person does not yet have a Free account in Ostendis, the existing Pro account can be directly transferred to the new person. Afterwards, the password should be changed to secure access.
Account with an existing Free account
If the new person already has a Free account, it can be upgraded to Pro. However, in this case, only new applications in ongoing jobs will be visible. Applications from the past must be manually forwarded once via a bulk action from another Pro account for them to appear in the new account.
Why not overwrite?
An account can only be overwritten if the new person does not have an existing account in Ostendis.
If a Free account already exists, the email address cannot be used again as it is already registered in the system.
Overwriting in this case would lead to problems.
💡 Tip: To avoid misunderstandings and data loss, it is usually simpler to create a new account instead of overwriting an existing account.
IMPORTANT: Before the last Professional account can be permanently deleted, all existing Free accounts must be deleted first.
