Instead of publishing job listings through the Ostendis URL, companies can now display them on their own domain. This improves SEO and enables direct indexing by Google, increasing visibility. The setup requires an alias (CNAME) in the DNS server of the company domain and incurs a one-time fee. The process is carried out by the company’s IT department.
The Initial Situation
Until now, job listings that you create and publish through Ostendis are accessed in the browser via the URL address (link) of Ostendis and look like this:
This also applies to the Ostendis CVdropper™ (application form). It doesn’t matter where you publish the listings – on your own website, on jobs.ch, or on other job platforms. This circumstance is of a technical nature, which is why we have been working on a solution. Because it is advantageous for you if the job listings and the Ostendis CVdropper™ are displayed via your own URL address in the future.
The Advantages for Your Company
- The candidates who visit your job listings remain on your company website. They are not confused or unsettled by switching to the ostendis.com address.

The Solution - an Alias
To offer you this advantage, we have implemented a technical concept. With a so-called alias, you now have the option to display your listings and the CVdropper™ on your own URL address (domain).

Set up an alias for the Ostendis job listing and CVdropper™ server with a one-time, minimal effort. This alias is used to access the listings and the CVdropper™ with ‘https://jobs.your-company.ch/…’ instead of ‘https://link.ostendis.com/…’.
Who Sets Up This Alias?
The alias must be set up once by a technician from your IT department or your external IT service provider in the DNS server that manages your domain (zone). The effort amounts to 5 – 10 minutes.
How Should the Alias Be Set Up?

They simply set up a single alias (CNAME) in the corresponding zone that links to our server where your Ostendis listings or the Ostendis CVdropper™ are located.
